In the mood for party wings but don’t have a grill? Don’t sweat it! We love making these baked bbq wings in our oven since we do not own a grill or smoker! I like to do a mix of different sauces, so in this batch I coated half of the chicken in sweet bbq sauce and the other half in tangy, spicy Buffalo sauce! YUM. Such a crowd pleaser. Full recipe below!
•
Ingredients:
2 lbs party wings (mix of drumsticks and wings)
1 Tbsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 Tbsp garlic powder
2 C bbq sauce OR Buffalo sauce (or 1 C of each)
•
Directions:
Pat all chicken dry with a paper towel. Add to a large bowl or large ziploc bag and add salt, pepper and garlic powder. Mix together until chicken is evenly coated. Let marinate for at least 30 min. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Place chicken on foil lined baking sheet (ideally on top of a wire rack if you have one that fits on your baking sheet). Bake for 20 min. Brush sauce on all chicken and bake for 5 min. Remove from oven, flip chicken and brush sauce on second side. Bake additional 5 min and serve! *cooking time may vary based on size of chicken cuts*
